Greetings!
To feel loved and safe is what every child longs for.
Before children understand what unconditional love means, they understand what it feels like.
For Caleb, he didn’t know what that felt like.
He and his brother, Joshua, were rescued off the streets of Southeast Asia and from abuse at the hands of men who should have been protecting them.
They were left without hope, without care, and without love.
But God…
Our Heavenly Father saw them, and He sent out and rescued them.
Caleb and Joshua now have a place to call home, a warm bed to sleep in, and the opportunity to finally experience what so many children long for…love.
And they now experience the love of a father through Chaz.
I see that sweet little boy looking up—not in fear, not in worry—but with trust, love, and a sense of safety.
That’s the heart of the Father.
He loves.
He protects.
He provides.
He makes us feel safe.
And I want to take a moment to thank those men who have stepped up—men like my own dad and Chaz—who give, not only to the lives of their own children, but to all children.
Men, who know the worth and value God has placed upon being a father.
Thank you…
For showing up and stepping in when others wouldn’t.
For standing in the gap and fighting battles no one else sees.
For using your voice for those who don’t have one.
For working to ensure that children are loved, safe, and protected.
Thank you for making our world feel safer, and more loved.
And as God our Father continues to open doors for us here at ATP to reach children in need of His love and hope, we will keep walking through them.
From the United States to the farthest corners of the world, we want to share the heart of the Father with as many children—young and old—as we can.
May God bless you this Father’s Day—whether you are celebrating with your father, cherishing his memory, or looking to our perfect Heavenly Father, who loves you with an everlasting love.
Heather
