The way children are targeted online has changed, and the people exploiting them have changed with it.
ICAC Commander David Frattare explains how technology, social platforms, the sharing of child sexual abuse material, and the evolving behavior of offenders continue to make these investigations more complex.
These platforms and apps may seem harmless, but what is lurking in them, is an evil force that is targeting and exploiting our children.
Behind every screen, every file, and every investigation is a child who deserves protection.
That is why supporting the professionals doing this work matters. They need the technology, resources, training, and support necessary to keep pace with an environment that never stops evolving.
Protecting children requires all of us to stay informed, stay vigilant, and stay committed to the mission.
We have another upcoming Guardian Retreat, which is an all expense paid retreat, that gives these law enforcement professionals who are the ones doing the work on the front lines of finding and protecting these children, a place to find support, help and restoration to keep going in the fight.
