SPEAKING INTO DARKNESS

PTL! What an amazing day! Yesterday we visited the Herman Stark Youth Facility. This facility is a maximum security prison that houses young men mostly ages 18-22.  I wanted to give you a first hand view into our ministry, so you could see what we do and share highlights of our visit. The rules are very strict inside a maximum security prison so we are not able to show any of the inmates’ faces and most of the taping had to be done before and after I met with them. This is as close as I could get to taking you with me. Please watch the video and let us know what you think.

  1. I pray that God continues to bless you, your ministry, your family and the lives of all the people to whom you bring the good news of Christ…many for the first time in their lives. Prayer does indeed make a difference.

  8. Great to hear about the things you did here. I am trying to hard to send in more money so that you can give more books away to these guys. I love you so much for the work God in doing with you. Your book touch my life as someone who has lived a childhood and life even in the Marines as you did I was blessed and moved by your book. I look forward to the day that we meet in person, as I have seen you two years in a roll at CC Chino Hills Men’s meeting. I do attended a different church called River of Life Christian Center in Riverside, Ca and one day I pray you can come out and talk to our youth. Your book has forever linked us in spirit and I feel my duty to pray and support as long as God blesses me on this earth. You never stop fighting, and God will never stop giving to you and your ministry. I do not like reading that may have to do with having dyslexia (spelled checked) but I almost never finish reading anything. I finished your book in two and a half days. For some nothing for me that is so fare from normal I had to taken a second look in the mirror. My wife had to ask me to stop reading one night so I would talk to her. She is now reading your book. I am saving my money that I would spend on lunch during the week so I can buy a few more copies so I can give them out.

    God Bless Pastor Marx!

  9. The work you are doing is truly a blessing to so many lives that otherwise would be left in the dark. I continue to pray that God will use you in a mighty way sharing His word. Bringing hope to those that had none and teaching to fight the enemy by putting God’s armor on………..may He continue to give you strength, spreading the gospel and plant His seed……..keeping a hedge of protection around You and your family……..I would like to read your book…..Thank you for sharing…………God’s Blessing to you and your family.

  10. We pray for you regularly along with other missionaries we support. Recently my five year old son has began praying for you every day and, though we’ve never suggested this to him, he has began to pray fervently that the “kids in the prisons not tease you and that you and your team remain close to God.”

I listen to him pray and think, I’ll bet that ridicule and contempt are probably a big inner conflict when you go into a prison population. My thought is, “How does my five-year-old sense that?” We never told him that, and we have not prayed anything like that for you or the other missionaries we support. So, given that knowledge, I have to believe that we’re seeing Romans 8:26-27 in action.

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.

At any rate, I felt that you would like to know that we’re praying for you and also how my five-year-old is being led to pray.

    God bless you brother,
    We love you.

    Dennis, Pam, & Sam
