I give my testimony to young people all over the country. I have a real heart for those who are locked-up. Why? Because they could have been me. Did you know that 85% of the kids in juvenile detention facilities are boys? So inevitably most of our ministry is focused on reaching out to these horribly hurt young men who have seen so much darkness already in their young lives. But every once in awhile I get in front of a group of locked-up girls. You cannot imagine their stories. And yet sometimes God gives us the chance to connect one on one. These girls are so hungry for hope…for another way of life.
Back in April, while speaking at a youth detention center, I met a hopeful teenager named Jordan. After I had finished speaking I gave her a copy of my book and prayed with her. And she gave her life to Christ!
The book is the best discipleship tool I have to leave with the kids after our time together. Now about a month after our meeting, I received a letter from her. I wanted to share this letter with you and ask for your prayers for Jordan. God has amazing plans for her!
Dear Victor,
I just wanted to sincerely thank you for opening my eyes. I was a lost sinner, but when you gave your testimony. . . that is the day I can proudly say I opened my eyes to Jesus Christ. I feel as if a burden has been lifted and my life has more direction. I was so intrigued and touched by your message of Jesus. I immediately was overcome with the desire to become a disciple. From that moment on my life has changed positively and my new life as a Christian has begun.
I would like you to know that you helped ignite my faith in Jesus Christ, and my eternal salvation. I thank you for making a difference in my life. God Bless you and your future presentations.
Sincerely,
Jordan
Wow! Isn’t that amazing? With God all things really are possible. Do you have stories of hope like this? We’d love to hear from you.

I am very very much interested in this ministry. I myself have been called to talk to young teenage girls and boys. I have a heart full of love for them the only problem is my testimony is still devolping I feel God calling me to this. I sat down with my nephews GF who has had a hard life and no one will sit and talk to her about Jesus…they just yell it at her face. What they need is to know that Christ loves them and he was there all along….I will be praying for you.
Your sister in christ,
kelsey
Kelsey,
Everybody’s testimony is still developing. When some people put their trust in Jesus, they are immediately delivered from many bad habits and messed up lifestyles. However, for the majority of people, it is an ongoing process. Don’t let that keep you from ministering to and talking to kids about Jesus.
