Loving, serving and never giving up!
These are a few things that mark a real follower of Christ. Jesus said, “By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” – John 13:35. I would like to honor two extraordinary disciples of Jesus, my wife and my mom.
My mom is a faithful prayer warrior and encourager to me and many others. She taught me taught me the value of humor and gave me an iron will to never give up. In spite of all she’s been through, her love for Christ and her family are very strong.
My wife and helpmate Eileen is a giver and a servant who is compelled by the Love of Christ. She loves and mothers our five kids – both waves of them– our 19, 17, 15 year olds and then our 5 and 3 year olds. She’s the CEO of the home and the manager of the ministry. Eileen is a real Proverbs 31 woman.
I was so proud to see her speak into the lives of women at her prayer breakfast two weeks ago. It was amazing! About of 1/3 of the women came forward for prayer or to surrender their lives to the Lord. I thank God for blessing me with my princess warrior–Eileen.
Many of the kids I visit in detention centers grew up without a strong woman in their lives. Many come from broken homes where their mothers are victims just like they are. Through our ministry, Eileen is a positive an example to these young girls. She demonstrates how to shine with Christ’s love.
I would love to hear who the most important woman is in your life and why. Bless us all with that testimony of faith! Honor the woman who made you who you are today.
And please remember to pray for the at-risk youth in detention facilities around the US. Ask God to bless them and change their hearts.

My Mom did the best she could but had decided to leave us when my brother and I were very young. She took off while Dad was in fighting in Vietnam. Our neighbor lady was a nice person and came over and took us to her house until dad was brought home by the Army to try and care for us.
Over the years through Christ’s Love I have been able to let my Mom know that all is ok and my brother and I have been taking care of her needs now for some years. She see’s Jesus in my family now and I think that this witness may someday bring her to Him.
That’s leads to my wonderful Wife of nearly 8 years now…
Adele is by far, the best person God could ever have chosen for me.(Even when I know she is not deserved by me… God’s Grace alone!) She love’s our Lord Jesus first and foremost and by that is loving me and our 3 children more and more every day. She teaches our children to love God and His Word and even now as I write this, she prepares their home school lessons for tomorrow… note: It’s now 10:30pm. She is an amazing Mother to my little cuties!
Adele is truly the Proverbs 31 woman and I know that our Lord smiles upon her and I am blessed by her. Life could not be better for a man married to a lover of Christ. Jesus is our All in All!
“A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.” Pv.31:10-11
Thanks so much for sharing this Victor! The most important women in my life are those in the body of Christ who have been such an example to me of Godly character. There is one woman in the body of Christ that loves me and others deeply simply because she loves our Lord deeply. She is rich in the knowlege of Christ and His word and does not restrain from speaking the truth in love. I thank God for her influence in my life. One other dear woman is a friend I met when I first gave my life to the Lord. She discipled me by living her life so transparently. She truly fulfills the law as she loves God with all her heart and loves others as herself. God has used these two women in my life in more ways than either of them even know.

TESTIMONY
April 6, 1980
1. What I was: I was a proud, ruthless and self-centered businesswoman driven by what the world calls success. I achieved all of that success but I was miserable. By the worlds standard I had everything a woman could want. I had health, wealth, 3 healthy children, a good husband, multiple cars, houses and jewelry. BUT, I was empty and angry inside and I was very unhappy. I was attending church regularly and tithing.
2. What happened: In the summer of 1979 I met a lady ( Dianne Nelson)that had a relationship with Jesus that I had never seen before in anyone. She talked like Jesus was a “real person”(He is!!). I met her at a Sunday School party and the first thing she said to me was “What is Jesus doing in your life right now?” I knew Jesus was not doing anything in my life so I decided to hire her to examine her daily. I knew I was a different person at church and I wanted to see what she was like at work, if she lived what she talked. After 8 months of her influence and really counting the cost of a “real commitment to Christ, I knelt by my bed one night and prayed. “Dear Jesus, if I am a Christian, why don’t I act like one”? Then “Dear Jesus, I don’t know if I am a Christian, but I want to be, please come into my heart, change me and save me. Forgive me of my sins, I want to repent of my sins and turn toward You. I have been going my own way for a long time (I was 36), I want to follow Your way, Jesus.” This was April 6, 1980.
3. What happened since: That night an unexplainable peace came over me. I returned to work interested in telling others of Jesus. My life did change. I was peaceful and happy. My life has not been perfect since than, I have had much heartache and I continue to sin, but now I immediately confess that sin and Jesus is ”faithful to forgive” (1st John 1:9). I have a love for Jesus, and people and I have sense of purpose. The purpose we were all created for, to Glorify God. When trials come, I can face them with the assurance that Jesus is there with me and He will direct my path. He will “work all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
